CHEF/OWNER KEVIN GUNDLACH
Kevin’s passion for cooking started at a young age. He remembers making dinners for his dad and brother when his mom went back to college at night. As he got older, dinners turned to events like tailgate parties and campouts. When he moved from Illinois to Steamboat Springs, CO, he started cooking for Riggio’s Italian Restaurant under Chef Dom Riggio. He excelled there and decided to make a career of it. In 2007, he took his talents to Seattle where he work with Chef Sito at Mashiko. Kevin rapidly advanced from tempura cook to head chef. Three years later he moved back to Elmhurst where he was head chef at Chow-To-Go for seven years. Recently Kevin has been focusing his time and talent on Flavah, his new restaurant venture in Elmhurst.
MEREDITH MEDER, ACS CCP
Meredith has been in the cheese, wine, beer and specialty food industry for over 20 years. In 2014, Meredith attended the American Cheese Society Conference to take the Certified Cheese Professional Exam. For the past six years, she worked as a Specialty Team Leader at Whole Foods Market. Prior to that, Meredith worked for several small businesses bringing cheese programs into focus and developing her love of local and artisan cheeses. She is currently offering educational programs and events throughout the Chicagoland area.
