CHEF/OWNER KEVIN GUNDLACH
Kevin’s passion for cooking started at a young age. He remembers making dinners for his dad and brother when his mom went back to college at night. As he got older, dinners turned into events, like tailgate parties and campouts. When he moved from Illinois to Steamboat Springs, CO, he started cooking for Riggio’s Italian Restaurant under Chef Dom Riggio. He excelled there and decided to make a career of it. In 2007, he took his talents to Seattle where he worked with Chef Sito at Mashiko. Kevin rapidly advanced from tempura cook to head chef. Three years later, he moved back to Elmhurst where he was head chef at Chow-To-Go for seven years. Kevin is proud to serve as both the owner and head chef at Flavah, bringing you his inventive, seasonal, fresh meals, salads, soups and more with creative adventures like Flavah Underground and Flavah Back Door.
